Dr Greg Morgan

Co-Founder

Greg comes to Teaching Edge with over 30 years’ experience in school leadership positions, nearly half of them as a Principal.

Greg’s leadership experience spans all the grades from Kindergarten to Year 12. As a Principal, his key objective was to support all students to aspire to academic excellence, while also growing into ethical, creative, contributing citizens.

A priority for Greg is the quality of teachers’ professional relationships with students, and their skill in immersing students in learning that’s fun, challenging, relevant and exciting.

Greg is currently applying these same values to Teaching Edge to ensure clients receive outstanding value for the service they receive.

Greg’s service to education has been recognised by:

  • A Principals’ Association Certificate of Appreciation, for service to school leaders
  • The Principals Australia Institute Professional Development Award, for supporting the professional development of Australian Principals
  • Leading Australia’s Schools, a selective program of 40 Principals from around Australia run jointly by the University of Melbourne Business School and the Hay Group
  • The Australian College of Educators Medal for Quality Teaching

Outside of work, Greg enjoys boating and fishing, photography, cooking and travel. He and his wife Lucy try to stay fit, assisted in this by their very active, young grandchildren. Greg would like to say he’s a keen gardener, but that would be misleading.

Troy Roberts

Co-Founder

Troy has 25 years’ experience in schools, teaching from early childhood through to Year 10, with his final ten years as a primary school principal.

Troy believes the best learning environment is one where children regularly experience high quality personalised teaching.

Providing unlimited one-to-one and small group learning for Australian children has been the inspiration behind the co-founding of Teaching Edge.

Troy has witnessed many times just how a skilled teacher’s personalised approach will transform a child’s confidence and success as a learner.

Troy spends weekends indulging his passion for building and landscaping. He is a keen golfer, basketball player and passionate supporter of his two teenage sons playing Aussie rules football.

He and his wife Dorothy enjoy time together – especially when it involves good food, wine, and dreaming up their next renovation project.
